In Jewellery as much as in Architecture ,Mayza believes that pursuing lasting qualities in design is a fulfilling challenge to undertake. The interchange of these two disciplines has been her investigative playground in developing her designs.
Influenced by Brazilian Architecture, notably that of Oscar Niemeyer’s with which she identified herself primarily, Mayza’s work pursues simplicity and boldness combining essential forms and strong three dimensional qualities.
Working predominantly in precious metal she applies traditional and rapid prototyping techniques to create her “architectural” jewellery , many of which are suitable for both women and men.
